What are the workshop hours each day ?

The hours for each retreat are changeable but will take up your full day.  There may be some early mornings or some late nights and the schedule will be determined as you go through the process.  Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your retreat starts to take care of any administrative issues you may have.  Your retreat will officially end at the time stated in the details for your retreat.  Our experience is that depending upon Dr. Warter's schedule and the flow of the retreat, there is often an opportunity to stay for one or two hours after the official ending..  We suggest that you do not make travel plans that force you to leave immediately.

Will there be any free time during the retreats?

There is free time during the retreat but you will probably not have enough time to do other activities.  You should plan for your time to be focused on the workshop.   If you are planning to explore or visit with friends in the area, you will need to come a few days early or stay a few days later.

Are meals on your own or with the group?

Most meals will be on your own and we have restaurant selection and maps for your use.   Most people go to restaurants in groups and while you are on your own, these are usually times to connect with the other people in the retreat and continue whatever you may be doing in the retreat.  Occasionally, special meals are arranged through Heartnet and you will have an option to participate.  For these meals, there will be an extra fee that you will be notified of and usually ranges between $15.00 and $25.00 per person.

How will we get from the hotel to the retreat each day ?

Due to parking constraints, participants must carpool to the events.  Each participant will be provided with a map from the hotel to the place the retreat will be taking place.  No car should come to the retreat without being full of people.

Who will be my roommate ?

Roommates are assigned by the Heartnet administrative staff and every consideration possible will be given to fulfill any special requests you may have.  In general, the hotels and motels that we use are clean and either on or near the beach and every effort is made to make it as inexpensive as possible.  Singles are sometimes available at an extra charge and if you would like to make your own reservations, please let us know. (note:  P.I.P. participants must stay in the hotel selected by Heartnet).

What payment arrangements can I make for the retreats and workshops ?

We prefer payment with a check.  If it is absolutely necessary, we can make arrangements for payment with your credit card.

What other incidental expenses can I anticipate ?

Meals in restaurants.  There might be an opportunity to participate in a special brunch or lunch in one of the finer restaurants or hotels in the area and these usually cost between $30 and $40 per person.  There are also delis and super markets close by for you to purchase food to fix in your rooms.  There are no facilities at the retreat site for you to use to prepare food and there is no food or drink allowed in the retreat rooms.  All of Dr. Warter's books and tapes will be available for sale as well as other materials that may be useful in to your inner development.  Dr. Warter often makes available certain nutritional supplements and vitamins that he has found to be beneficial to retreat participants.  You can read more about these products in our Wellness Center and they are all available at retreats.
