Audience

Medical Doctors, Osteopathic Physicians, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Chiropractors, Naturopaths, Practitioners of Alternative and Complementary Medicine

Course Objectives

* Demonstrate how to take and appropriate spiritual history
* Discuss ways patient beliefs can be incorporated into the healing process
* Describe some beliefs and practices of major religious groups * To express the manner in which your spiritual values can be integreated into the healer-patient relationship

CME: Mercy Healthcare Arizona is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. Mercy Healthcare Arizona designates this CME activity for 12 education hours of Category 1 credit toward the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.

CME: For Osteopathic Physicians is pending.

CE: This program is co-sponsored by the Arizona Psychological Association. AzPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The APA approved sponsor maintains responsibility for the program. AzPa has designated 14 Category 1 CE credits for this program. In order to receive AzPA Certificate of Attendance, a $10 fee must be included in your registration.
